Aden National Project.. Aden and Bab al-Mandab .. National responsibility and regional and international security
The Aden National Project follows with great concern the rapid military developments in the west coast, following the control of the Houthi terrorist militias on Bab al-Mandab and Mayoun Island, and confirms that what threatens Bab al-Mandab threatens the capital, Aden. The security of Bab al-Mandab is directly related to the security of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, freedom of navigation and international trade, and any shift in the balance of control and influence around this vital corridor will have repercussions far beyond the borders of Yemen. In this context, the Aden National Project calls on the Presidential Leadership Council, the government and the local authority in the capital Aden to deal with developments in the West Coast and Bab al-Mandab as an urgent national and security priority, develop an integrated plan to protect Aden and its strategic surroundings, and raise the level of coordination between military, security and civilian institutions to ensure unity of decision, integration of responsibilities and rapid response to any possible developments. The draft stresses that Aden should remain away from settling accounts and internal conflicts, and that the protection of the city, its institutions, residents, ports and sea lanes should be a joint responsibility of the state, the local authority and the people of Aden, away from any political or regional employment. From this standpoint, the project confirms to the countries of the region and the international community that the security of Bab al-Mandab and Miyun is an issue that goes beyond local calculations, and that leaving this vital corridor under threat or turning it into a pressure card will pose a threat to the security of the region and the freedom of international navigation. Responsible and proactive action is required to prevent the consolidation of a new reality that threatens this strategic artery. The project also appreciates the movement of the local authority in the capital Aden and the measures it has taken to raise readiness and enhance coordination between the security and military agencies, and to prepare early for any developments that may transfer the repercussions of the conflict to the city, while anticipating potential waves of displacement and placing the humanitarian response among the priorities of the stage. The Aden National Project calls on the people of the capital, Aden, to be vigilant and aware, to cooperate with state institutions and competent agencies, to avoid rumors, discord and random accusations, and to circumvent the security and stability of the capital, Aden, at this sensitive stage. The capital, Aden, is aware, from its experience in the 2015 war, that the threat when it reaches its surroundings does not wait long to become a direct threat to its security and stability. The security of the capital Aden is from the security of Bab al-Mandab, and the security of Bab al-Mandab is from the security of the region and the world.

Voices from the Aden National Project.. multiple visions and one goal.
Voices from the Aden National Project.. multiple visions and one goal.
The giant of Aden has finally risen from his sleep.. The Aden National Project and the right of Aden to write its future
Aden was never an ordinary city, it was always larger than its geographical borders and wider than any recognized political definition, a city that made a place for itself in history from its location, openness and diversity of its people, and from its ability to bring together different people under one roof without asking them to be similar. Therefore, talking about Aden today cannot be about a city that is looking for a service, a road, or a project only. The issue is much deeper. We are talking about a city that has been exhausted by conflicts and divisions, and has gradually distanced its people from their natural right to participate, make decisions, and determine what they want their city to be. Since the independence of Aden in 1967 until today, the city has had many stages, and the authorities, projects and slogans have changed, but the question remained, what does Aden want for itself?Who has the right to answer this question? I think that the answer can no longer be postponed. Aden today needs to speak for itself, not for others to speak for it, nor to turn into an arena on which political projects wrestle, while its society remains at the end of each stage in front of the same questions about services, the economy, identity, status and the future. Hence the idea that we believed in from the first moment, when we started working together on the Aden National Project. We were not looking for a new name to be added to the scene, nor for a platform that competes with anyone, nor for a new political position. We were looking for something simpler and deeper, for a space in which Adeni can say what he wants, for a space in which different people sit around one table without being a reason for exclusion, for a space that does not ask man where he came from before asking him what he can offer to Aden, and for a framework that restores consideration to the idea that the city does not belong to a party, a component, or a directorate. Neither for a person, nor for a financier, Aden belongs to all its children, and this is the essence of the Aden National Project. The project is not a political party, does not seek power, and does not want to replace the state or institutions. It is an independent civil-political platform for dialogue and the production of visions and public policies on Aden. This is not a definitive formulation, but a clear position on the whole scene. We want to move from talking about it to talking with it, and from being the subject of decisions until its society becomes a partner in decision-making, and from scattered demands to clear priorities. The response was to translate into a viable vision, shifting from a struggle for representation in Aden to action for Aden. Therefore, our aim was not to create yet another component to add to the existing list; our goal was to create a historical Aden document that would serve as a comprehensive Adeni reference point, encompassing all political approaches agreed upon by all Adenis, and to begin with the people. To listen. To gather knowledge. To know where the city actually stands, what it needs, what can work, what has failed and why, and then turn all of this into policies that can be discussed, implemented and followed up. This is the idea that underpins our path from voice to policy, from listening to data, from data to the policy lab, and then to practical papers that reach stakeholders and are subject to follow-up and accountability. We do not want Aden, a city that is looking every year for a new beginning, we want it a city that knows where to go, a safe and stable city, a city with efficient and transparent institutions, a city where the economy is present along with politics, services along with slogans, and the human being next to every project, a city that protects its memory, heritage and civil identity, and opens its doors to the future, and this is not a romantic dream, this is Aden that we believe is able to be again. Aden does not need more division. Aden needs a space where differences can be accommodated and not turn into hostility. It needs equal citizenship where a person is not asked about their origin, dialect, lineage, or sect in order to obtain their rights in the city. It needs to recognize that its diversity is not a problem to be eliminated, but rather one of its most important strengths. These are not slogans that we have chosen now, they are the governing principles that we have set since the establishment of the project that the rule of law is above all and dialogue is the basis for consensus, pluralism and diversity, non-exclusion and discrimination, decision-making independence, transparency and accountability, public interest, efficiency, community participation, sustainable development, heritage and identity protection and institutional work. Therefore, the Aden National Project does not tell the Adenis that we know your future, but rather tells them to come and make it together. We do not say that we have the truth alone, but we say that the truth starts from listening, and we do not say that we represent Aden alone, but we say that Aden is too big for anyone to monopolize its representation, and we do not say that politics alone can save the city. We say that politics, when separated from society, knowledge and law, turns into a struggle for power, while politics that Starting from the needs of people can turn into a way to build the state and the city together, so we chose to have our project open to everyone who made Aden the home of his life and future, without geographical origin, descent, dialect or sect being a criterion for belonging. I do not write this as a bystander to the idea. I am one of those who carried it from its inception. We started this project knowing that the road will not be easy. We know that talking about Aden in a different way will put us in front of many questions, and perhaps more objections, but we believe that a city that deserves to regain its position cannot be built by fear of questions, hesitation in front of difference, or reproducing the past in the same way. We want to open a new door, a door that does not cancel the past and does not deny what Aden has lived, but it refuses to keep its future captive. We want to reach a moment when Adeni can see in front of him a city in which he not only lives, but participates in determining its direction. A city restoring its economy; protecting its heritage. Improved her services; empowered her youth. It opens the door to its women and its competencies; it recovers its institutions. Above all, she restores her parents' confidence that their voice can make a real difference in the equation. Some may disagree with us, and this is their right, and the visions of the Adenites may differ about the shape of the future and this is normal, but what is no longer normal is that the difference remains a reason to disrupt the city. Aden does not need to agree on everything, it needs to agree that it deserves to have a future, and this is the agreement we are looking for, not a political agreement at the expense of anyone, nor an alignment against anyone, as much as it is a civil agreement that the interest of Aden must be the starting point. For dialogue to be our way. The law is our reference. Truth is our guide. Knowledge is our tool. Participation is our tool. The future is our goal. We do not promise people illusion or idealism, we promise them something more realistic, to work together for a better Aden, and here lies the value of the Aden National Project. For the love of the city to shift from feeling to action, belonging to it from identity to responsibility, complaining from case to case, the issue from demand to policy, politics from paper to decision, and the decision from promise to reality. This is the Eden we want, and this is the Eden that its future generations deserve. Aden, which does not have an individual, a party, a directorate or a financier the right to monopolize its voice, Aden, where difference is richness, diversity is strength, dialogue is a road, and participation is really, Aden, which regains its special status, privacy and status not because it has returned to the past, but because it has made for itself a future worthy of its history, and from here we began, and from here we will continue. Aden first.. Through dialogue we create the vision.. and with participation we build the future. Article by : Mohammed Anwar Al-Adni

From Aden, consensus begins. From consensus, a future befits its people. The dialogue and communication team of the Aden National Project approves the founding document and approves the launch of six executive task forces
In a milestone that inaugurates a new phase of institutional and national inclusive work, the Dialogue and Communication Team of the "Aden National Project" held an expanded meeting chaired by Mr. Mohammed Hisham Bashraheel, Head of the Project; during which he reviewed the introductory and foundational document, and discussed its strategic dimensions, its national mission, and its future vision. The meeting culminated in the unanimous approval of the introductory and founding document of the Aden National Project to be the governing reference and the overarching institutional framework that defines the project's identity, vision, mission, objectives, values and courses of action. The decision also included the adoption of the operational methodology, the organizational structure, the governance system, and the regulatory and executive regulations governing the next phase. Within the framework of consolidating the specialized management and confirming the efficiency of performance, the meeting approved the distribution of field and executive work tasks across six specialized work teams, including: the political team, the economic team, the community team, the media team, the technical team and the monitoring and evaluation team. The field teams will launch an expanded disembarkation program to hold a series of inclusive meetings and dialogue sessions with various political components, societal forces, parties, elites and national figures in Aden. These tours aim to actively listen to different opinions and priorities and expand the base of national participation to build a solid consensus on the crucial issues affecting the reality of the city and the future of its people. These moves come as a procedural step in the context of the strategic direction of the Aden National Project to launch a structured civil and political dialogue that embodies the real partnership between all forces and actors in order to formulate an inclusive vision that leads to the completion of the "Historic Document of Aden" as a national and comprehensive reference. The meeting concluded by stressing the centrality of the next phase and the need to redouble efforts to activate field teams and implement communication programs, stressing that diversity and political pluralism represent richness and an original entry point for consensus and cohesion whenever the wills converge around the higher interests of Aden and make its future a top priority.

Aden.. Between the multiplicity of initiatives and the unity of purpose.. A call for a national partnership that promotes the public interest and establishes an inclusive consensus
By: Abdulrahman Saeed Member of the Dialogue and Communication Team for the Aden National Project. To all national leaders, political figures, initiators, intellectual and social elites, and to all the people of Aden… I address this appeal to you based on a firm belief that Aden was, and still is, bigger than any project, and broader than any difference, and that our national responsibility today requires us all to rise to the level of the challenges facing our city, and to make its unity and stability a goal that transcends all considerations. The critical stages in which the value of initiatives is not measured by their differentiation, but rather by their ability to create commonalities. Today, Aden is in dire need of a national will that believes that consensus is not a temporary political option, but a necessity imposed by the responsibility to preserve the city and its future, and that partnership is not a sharing of gains, but rather a unification of responsibility towards man and the earth. From this standpoint, I call on everyone to make the interest of Aden and the Adeni citizen the overarching framework for all initiatives and visions, and that dialogue is our way to bring views closer, and integration is our approach to managing difference, away from any logic that feeds division or dispels energies. The multiplicity of initiatives is not the challenge, but the real challenge lies in our ability to transform this diversity into a national force, and into a partnership that enhances trust, and opens new horizons for joint action. The wider the compatibility space, the closer Eden is to stability, and the more we introduce the city to our projects, the more our projects will be able to serve the city and its people. I invite all of you to meet on an unwritten moral and national charter, a charter that makes Aden bigger than our differences, makes the Adenian citizen the point of convergence on which we do not disagree, and transforms our initiatives from parallel efforts to one will that moves towards the renaissance of the city and preserving the dignity of its people. I am certain that Aden today needs not more factions, but rather men and women who believe that dialogue builds trust, consensus creates stability, and the common good is the foundation upon which nations are built. My message to everyone is clear: if we unite for Aden, Aden will win, and everyone will win. Let us make Aden our greatest project, and our unity the greatest achievement we can offer to its present and the future of its generations.

The capital, Aden, witnessed a joint coordination meeting between the leadership of the Southern National Movement Council, headed by Mr. Abdul Raouf Zain Al-Saqqaf, and the leadership of the Aden National Project, headed by Mr. Mohammed Hisham Basharahil, in the framework of strengthening joint action and unifying political and community efforts to serve the capital and its people. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Southern National Movement Council, where the two sides discussed ways to coordinate visions to face the current challenges facing the capital, Aden, and discussed practical mechanisms to unify the ranks in a way that contributes to restoring the status of the city and safeguarding the rights of its people, in addition to stressing the importance of continuing coordination and joint action during the next phase. At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the Southern National Movement Council, Abdul Raouf Zain Al-Saqqaf, welcomed the delegation of the Aden National Project, noting that this meeting comes within the series of periodic consultative meetings held by the Council with the aim of enhancing the South-South dialogue and bringing the views of the various components closer together. Al-Saqqaf stressed that the Council places at the top of its priorities the promotion of national dialogue as a way to bring visions closer and overcome differences, unify the southern row to face the upcoming political benefits, in addition to supporting local authorities by providing initiatives and solutions that contribute to improving public services and alleviating the suffering of citizens. For his part, Mr. Mohammed Hisham Bashraheel reviewed the basic principles and pillars of the Aden National Project, explaining that this meeting is the first to be implemented. He explained that the Aden National Project is a political movement and an initiative aimed at reuniting the people of Aden and uniting their ranks on the basis of broad partnership, and rejecting exclusion and marginalization. He pointed out that the project is based on the formation of a comprehensive dialogue team that includes legal figures from across the political and community spectrum, with the involvement of women, youth, media professionals and various segments of society in the decision-making process, and the adoption of efficiency and community presence as a basic criterion for participation, thus contributing to the restoration of Aden's rights and entrepreneurial status. At the end of the meeting, the two parties stressed the importance of continuing coordination and holding joint meetings, stressing that the interest of the capital Aden and its people prevails over any narrow interests, and that true partnership represents the best way to restore the rights of the city and enhance its status. They also stressed the importance of enabling the sons and cadres of the capital Aden from various political, administrative, military, security and civil entitlements, and granting them their full right to participate actively in decision-making, stressing that the next stage will be a stage of correction and rehabilitation of the capital Aden and all its people, and stand by them to achieve these entitlements. The two sides renewed their support for confronting the Houthi militias, stressing their support for all measures taken by the Presidential Leadership Council to address the Houthi escalation, stressing that Aden, which has made great sacrifices and fallen among its sons as martyrs in the face of the Houthi militia project, will remain a bulwark against any attempts to do so. They pointed out that the memory of the people of Aden still retains the details of the 2015 war, during which the people of the city were able to thwart the Iranian project in the region, stressing their commitment to their position in defending their city and homeland.
PRESS RELEASE
The head of the Aden National Project, Mr. Mohammed Bashraheel, said on his official page “For more than six decades, Aden has lived through a continuous cycle of conflicts, many of which have turned into wars and armed conflicts, and the city's streets and neighborhoods have been the scene of them. The parties changed and the labels changed, but the result remained the same: a city being depleted, and citizens paying the price for their security, stability, and livelihoods. Wars, bombings, assassinations, acts of sabotage, demonstrations and millions have had profound effects on Aden, exhausting its sons who were at every station of the conflict most tolerant of loss and suffering, while development, reconstruction and improvement of services remained postponed or absent. Experiences have shown that competing for control of Aden has not achieved security or development for its people, and that slogans and chants, no matter how loud, do not build a city, do not provide services, and do not create a future for future generations. In this sense, we in the Aden National Project affirm that the time has come to take Aden out of the circle of conflicts, and to view it as a city of peace, life and development, in which millions of civilians live, and not an arena for settling political or military scores. Our message to everyone is clear: Leave Eden to its people, and keep your conflicts away from it. And if you enter it, let your entry be for the sake of peace, construction and the service of man, not to turn its streets again into fields of war and destruction."
Aden is not an arena for settling scores
Mohammed Hisham Bashraheel Aden is not a land without identity and it is not a city without people, but it is the city of history and dignity, and the city that paid a heavy price for the blood of its people, its security and stability. Therefore, it will not allow it to turn again into a theater of chaos, a platform for settling political scores, or carrying out losing projects. Whoever believes that Aden can be an open arena for his political battles is delusional, and underestimates the awareness of its sons who have experienced the experiences of the past, and no longer accept being dragged behind false slogans or suspicious calls. There is no dispute that the right to peaceful demonstration is an inherent right guaranteed by laws and charters, but this right does not grant anyone the authority to impose their protest on another city and does not justify turning Aden into a destination for anyone who has lost his influence or seeks to restore it at the expense of the security and stability of the city and the lives of its residents. The southern cause is a just cause, for which southerners have made great sacrifices. However, the justice of the cause does not mean that Aden should bear the burden of political conflicts alone. Each governorate and city has its own concerns, and the people of each governorate have the right to express their demands within their governorates and cities, not to transfer their protests to Aden and make its people pay for them. Whoever tries today to summon the masses to Aden does not do so for the sake of the southern cause or in defense of its interests, but rather seeks narrow political gains after his presence has declined and he has lost much of his influence and no longer finds anyone to respond to his calls. So he tries to drag Eden into a battle that is not hers, believing that chaos may bring him back to the forefront. The people of Eden have become more aware of these facts than ever before. They were at the forefront of the struggle, made sacrifices at various stages, and participated in events and protests when they served the public interest, but today they are too conscious to allow their city to be turned into a hostage of others' battles or an arena of chaos. They realize that protecting Aden is a collective responsibility, and that preserving its security and stability takes precedence over any political calculations or personal interests that do not serve the citizen or the homeland.

Mohamed Bashraheel, head of the dialogue and communication team for the Aden National Project, raises questions about the rights of the people of Aden and justice to hold positions.
Bashraheel: Did Ibn Aden get a meter of land in his city? Do others accept to be ruled by Adani? Bashraheel opens the file of discrimination: Why is Ibn Aden deprived of the right to live in his city? Have you, as the son of Eden, been given one meter of land to live in your city? Will the other accept that I, as Adani, am the governor of his governorate?

Issued by the Aden National Project on the developments of the situation in the capital, Aden
The Aden National Project, based on its deep affiliation with this great city, and being an integral part of its social and humanitarian fabric, confirms that it is following with great concern and sincere interest the painful developments in the capital Aden, in light of the continuous service deterioration, foremost of which is the electricity crisis, and the consequent harsh and accumulated suffering that has burdened people and strained the details of their daily lives, until it affects the simplest of their rights to a decent life. As we speak today, we are speaking from the heart of Aden, and with Aden, and for the sake of Aden, because we do not stand outside its pain, but we live it as our people live it in Aden, and we see in their patience and steadfastness a form of dignity of this ancient city that has known nothing but pride, and deserves only fairness, the distress and suffering that our people live in Aden is no longer tolerable, and their demands for improved services and decent living are just and legitimate demands that cannot be ignored or postponed. In the same context, we send the following invitations and messages: First: We expressly call on the government, under the leadership of His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Shaie Al-Zindani, and His Excellency the Minister of Electricity Eng. Adnan Al-Kef, to speed up the implementation of the urgent rescue plan to address the service situation, foremost of which is electricity, and to block the way for anyone who lurks in this suffering, or seeks to divert the course of human rights claims and exploit them politically at the expense of the people and their pain. Second: We call on His Excellency the Minister of State, Governor of the Capital Aden, Mr. Abdul Rahman Sheikh, to be honest with the Aden people about the reality of the situation, or take full responsibility, and move to a practical stage based on the innovation of real treatments and solutions from the resources and revenues of Aden . Dealing with the capital on the basis of its specificity as the capital of the country, and we affirm that all the Adeni people stand behind these reform steps, and support them, as a necessary path to save Aden from collapse and restore a minimum of stability and service. In the same context, we emphasize that the capital, Aden, needs a rational administration that keeps pace with the magnitude of the challenges, and opens the doors of serious reform in the directorates and executive offices, especially the service ones, through the use of young national cadres and competencies from the people of Aden, who bear its concerns and know their details, and contribute sincerely to developing solutions, improving services, and lifting this catastrophic reality. Third: We send a message to the security forces in the capital Aden, the leadership and individuals, that the responsibility placed on you is great, and the conditions in our city are very complex, and we realize the size of the pressures you face to maintain security and stability and prevent chaos, but we remind you that the protesters are your brothers and family, and they did not emerge in vain or in vain, but rather brought out by pain, oppression and poor services, a reality whose effects affect every house in Aden, and therefore, we invite you to show With wisdom, self-control and humane treatment, and moving away from the use of excessive force, this only generates more congestion, and serves only those who want to ignite sedition in a city that has been exhausted by fatigue and deserves security, not escalation, and compassion, not more pain. At the same time, we emphasize that peaceful and civilized expression is the truest and most responsible way to deliver the voice and protect the cause from distortion or exploitation. Peaceful protest is a guaranteed right as long as it is disciplined and responsible, away from cutting roads, burning tires or any practices that increase the suffering of people and affect patients, paramedics, students, workers and other groups that have been exhausted by this difficult reality. Fourth: We call on our people in Aden and its youth to adhere to the peaceful and civilized approach in expressing their just demands, and to preserve the image of the city and its right to responsible protest. We also call on them to be vigilant against any attempts to drag their legitimate movements into chaos, sabotage, or tampering. Aden deserves only to have its voice heard clearly, and to preserve its dignity with the awareness of its people and their peaceful will. In conclusion: Aden today needs the voice of reason, a response worthy of the patience of its people, their steadfastness and sacrifices, and a real will that puts the suffering of people at the forefront of priorities, and treats their demands as deserving rights that no one has, and we in the Aden National Project affirm our full support for our people in Aden, and our adherence to the option of peace, and our rejection of all forms of chaos, violence and harm to the city and its people, because we are of them and theirs, and with them in all that guarantees their dignity and rights and their future. May God protect Eden and her people, and inject the blood of her sons. Issued by: Dialogue and Communication Team – Aden National Project
A statement issued by the Aden National Project on the humanitarian and service conditions in the capital, Aden
The Aden National Project is following with great concern the worsening deterioration of the service and humanitarian conditions in the capital Aden, foremost of which is the continuous collapse of the electricity service, and the consequent severe suffering that has intensified with the severe heat wave, burdening the lives of citizens and exhausting families in various districts. The Aden National Project confirms that the people of Aden, with their patience, steadfastness and sacrifices, have embodied the finest forms of peaceful civil expression of their legitimate demands and rights, in the popular movement known as the "Farshan Revolution", which reflected a cultural awareness and national responsibility in demanding solutions without chaos or violence. In this context, the Aden National Project appreciates the meeting of His Excellency the Minister of State, Governor of the Capital Aden, with the Executive Office, which included a clear warning of the seriousness of the current situation, and an assurance that Aden will not stand idly by in the face of this deterioration, which threatens the lives of citizens and the stability of the city. The Aden National Project also confirms that the electricity crisis, along with water and other basic services, no longer tolerates partial treatments or temporary promises, but requires serious and responsible action by all concerned authorities, foremost of which is the Presidential Council and the government, each within the scope of its competence. It is flawed and unfair to hold the governor of the capital Aden alone responsible, in light of the accumulations and problems of this complex file that extend over years, exceeding the responsibility of one party Or a specific person. The Aden National Project renews its call for granting the capital Aden a special administrative and financial status befitting its status as the capital of the state, and ensuring the equitable use of its resources and capabilities in addressing its suffocating crises, foremost of which is electricity and water, in a way that achieves stability, preserves the dignity of citizens, and enhances the ability of its institutions to carry out their duties. The Aden National Project also confirms its full support for the right of citizens to peaceful and civilized expression of their demands, and rejects any practices or policies that lead to the continuation of their suffering or the use of basic services as a pressure card, stressing that the people of Aden have the right to a decent life and access to basic services as an inalienable and inherent right that does not accept compromise or derogation. Glory to Eden, dignity to its people, and the right to its companions. Issued by: Dialogue and Communication Team – Aden National Project

Towards a national partnership and an inclusive vision.. The first introductory meeting of the dialogue and communication team of the Aden National Project
In a step that reflects the growing civil and political movement seeking to restore the spirit of consensus and partnership in the capital, Aden, the first introductory meeting of the dialogue and communication team of the “Aden National Project” was held, under the title: “Towards a national partnership and a comprehensive vision,” with the participation of an elite group of academics, media professionals, and social and youth figures. The meeting witnessed extensive discussions about the nature of the project and its objectives, and the role it can play in rebuilding common spaces among the people of Aden, by formulating an inclusive national discourse that transcends the state of polarization and division that has exhausted the city over the past years. The participants stressed that Aden today does not need more emotional and emotional speeches, as much as it needs a rational national project that has the ability to transform the accumulated pain into a historic opportunity to rebuild civil harmony, and restore the city’s position as an incubator of diversity, coexistence, partnership, and empowerment of its people. The speakers pointed out that what is being proposed within the framework of the “Aden National Project” does not represent an alignment against any party, nor an attempt to produce a new state of conflict, but rather comes as a call to redefine the relationship between the city and its people on the basis of shared responsibility and public interest, away from narrow calculations and the logic of dominance. The meeting also discussed the challenges faced by Aden, stressing that the absence of a comprehensive project contributed to the deepening of political, service and social crises, as a result of the primacy of temporary interests at the expense of the state and people, which has made the need today more urgent to build a national vision based on Aden’s civil and historical specificity.
