Towards a national partnership and an inclusive vision.. The first introductory meeting of the dialogue and communication team of the Aden National Project
In a step that reflects the growing civil and political movement seeking to restore the spirit of consensus and partnership in the capital, Aden, the first introductory meeting of the dialogue and communication team of the “Aden National Project” was held, under the title: “Towards a national partnership and a comprehensive vision,” with the participation of an elite group of academics, media professionals, and social and youth figures.
The meeting witnessed extensive discussions about the nature of the project and its objectives, and the role it can play in rebuilding common spaces among the people of Aden, by formulating an inclusive national discourse that transcends the state of polarization and division that has exhausted the city over the past years.
The participants stressed that Aden today does not need more emotional and emotional speeches, as much as it needs a rational national project that has the ability to transform the accumulated pain into a historic opportunity to rebuild civil harmony, and restore the city’s position as an incubator of diversity, coexistence, partnership, and empowerment of its people.
The speakers pointed out that what is being proposed within the framework of the “Aden National Project” does not represent an alignment against any party, nor an attempt to produce a new state of conflict, but rather comes as a call to redefine the relationship between the city and its people on the basis of shared responsibility and public interest, away from narrow calculations and the logic of dominance.
The meeting also discussed the challenges faced by Aden, stressing that the absence of a comprehensive project contributed to the deepening of political, service and social crises, as a result of the primacy of temporary interests at the expense of the state and people, which has made the need today more urgent to build a national vision based on Aden’s civil and historical specificity.
